This Donburi style bowl was turned green out of a reclaimed cherry log from West Sussex. It warped during the drying process showing now a unique irregular oval shape. I carved the spoon from a cherry branch. They were charred after turning to waterproof them, and sealed with a food-safe mineral oil and natural wax finish to keep the beauty of the wood imperfections and its natural grain and patterns. They are designed for serving rice, salad... and will add an elegant touch to your table.

Hand-wash them with warm water and mild dish soap, dry washed them with a clean dishtowel, then allow them to air-dry completely before putting them away. 

Periodically rub them with mineral oil or natural wax. Don't use food-based oil like vegetable or olive oil, since these types of oils can go rancid.

With these tips, your wooden kitchenware should last a long, long time.
